The Oceanography Society’s mission is to build the capacity
of its diverse global membership; catalyze interdisciplinary
ocean research, technology, policy, and education; and pro-
mote equitable access to opportunities for all. The Society
supports these objectives by publishing Oceanography,
convening scientific conferences, hosting networking events
and webinars, organizing career development workshops,
providing web-based resources for students, and recogniz-
ing significant achievements in ocean sciences through the
TOS Honors Program. TOS is committed to nurturing the cur-
rent and next generation of ocean scientists and providing
leadership and collaboration opportunities for its members.
